BJP's novel protest against power cut evokes response
Madurai, Oct 11 (UNI) In a novel way to express their protest against the frequent power cuts in Tamil Nadu, the Bharathiya Janata Party (BJP) today distributed hand-held fans, candles and oil lamps to people at Arapalayam area in the city.
The BJP workers, led by Party's District President Sasiraman, carried their surprise gifts in a hand-pulled cart and distributed it to the public free of cost.
The novel protest evoked a good response as a large number of people turned before the cart to receive the gifts.
