Mah: Prisoner attempts suicide

Nashik, Oct 10: A prisoner, serving his punishment in the Nashik Road Central Jail tried to commit suicide. According to police, Ajay Rajsingh tried to commit suicide in the prison on Thursday, Oct 9 by injuring himself with a bulb glass and consuming the glass pieces, when the prison authorities did not allow him to meet his friend.

Ajay was admitted to the district civil hospital, where he is recuperating from the injury, police said.

A case of attempt to suicide was registered against him, police added.
