Indian business delegation to visit China

Mumbai, Oct 10: A 24-member business delegation will visit China to undertake a 10-day study on developing and financing of economic infrastructure projects there.

The team led by the Indian Merchant's Chamber (IMC) will leave for China on October 14 and will study mega infrastructure projects, Special Economic Zones (SEZ) and industrial parks in Beijing, Guangzhou, Dalian and Shanghai. ''We will interact with officials in China and try an get an insight on their admirable visionary approach. It makes one think why doesn't our country have such an infrastructure,'' IMC president N M Chaini said here during a press conference today.

The delegation will also meet Chinese business delegations with special focus on chemicals and petrochemicals industries. A part of this the delegation will also visit the Tsinghua University, lancaster University, Peking University and Beijing Academy of Science and Technology.

The delegation will arrive back on October 25.
