Two drown in Yamuna during immersion of Goddess Durga idols
New Delhi, Oct 9 (UNI) Two people today drowned in the Yamuna during the immersion of idols of Goddess Durga, which marks the culmination of Durga Puja festivities, fire brigade officials said.
A 22-year- old man Jitender, resident of a slum near Wazirpur industrial area, drowned in the river Yamuna during immersion of the idols at Kudesia Ghat near Sonia Vihar water treatment plant, fire officials added.
In another incident, a person drowned during immersion of the idols near Wazirabad barrage.
