IIDC to be set up at Kidangoor
Kottayam, Oct 9 (UNI) The Kerala Government has given administrative sanction for setting up Integrated Infrastructure Development Centre (IIDC) at Kidangoor under the Union Government's Integrated Infrastructure Development Scheme for Smallscale Industries in Rural Areas.
At a news conference here today, State PWD Minister Mons Joseph said the project was forwarded by KINFRA.
Basic facilities like continuous power supply, common storage facilities, common effluent plant, business centre and marketing centre would be set up in the proposed park at Kidangoor.
Under the scheme, the State Government would provide 40 per cent of the project costs for setting up the IID Centre.
Kottayam District Collector will be the coordinator of the project. Steps will be taken for land acquisition and setting up of the centre with the cooperation of peoples' representatives,political parties and landowners, the Minister said.
