Fire breaks out in building

Mumbai, Oct 9 (UNI) A fire today engulfed a portion of a residential building at Kala Chowkie in south-central Mumbai, Fire Brigade sources said.

The fire broke out at 1500 hrs in building Number 28 at Abhyodaya Nagar.

Five fire-fighters and three tankers have been rushed to the spot. So far, no casualties have been reported.

Rescue operations are on in full swing at the site and the area around the building has been cordoned off.

The cause of the blaze is still to be ascertained.
