Father, minor son killed in road mishap

Bareilly, Oct 9 (UNI) A man and his four-year-old son were crushed to death and three other family members sustained serious injuries after being run over by a speeding truck here today.

Following the mishap, furious mob created ruckus and blocked National Highway No 24 (Bareilly-Delhi), besides vandalising several vehicle and torching hoardings.

The incident occurred this noon, when Idrish (35) along with wife Rajda (30) and three children Mohsin (4), Ira (6) and Gudiya was approaching destination on a motorcycle, when a truck coming from the opposite direction hit the vehicle and crushed Idrish and Mohsin to death, police said.

However, Rajda and other two children were admitted to hospital in critical condition.

Meanwhile, the police has arrested the truck driver.
