ABG Group sets up largest cement plant in Kutch
Bhuj, Oct 9 (UNI) ABG Cements Ltd today laid the foundation stone of India's largest cement plant in remote western coastline of Abdasa taluka in Kutch.
The plant, to be built at an estimated cost of Rs 1,750 crore, will have captive thermal power plant, captive water desalination plant and a private jetty for export. The project will produce 3.3 million tons of cement per annum.
ABG Group chairman Rishi Agrawal said the plant will be commissioned by the end of 2010 and will employ 700 people.
ABG Group is India's largest shipbuilding yard in the private sector with investment of Rs 3,000 crore.
