2 killed, 20 injured in road accidents
Srinagar, Oct 9 (UNI) Two people, including a woman, were killed and 20 others wounded in different road accidents in the Kashmir valley overnight, official sources said today.
They said a bus hit and critically wounded a woman Fatima at Jehangir Chowk, near here, resulting her on the spot death.
Later, the bus was damaged by a mob who were dispersed by police after resorting to mild lathicharge.
A truck hit and killed one person at Sonmarg Bazar on Srinagar- Drass road.
Sources said about 20 passengers were injured when two buses collided at Hanjiwera, Pattan, about 35 km from here on Srinagar- Baramulla road. The injured were admitted to hospitals In another incident, fire broke out in a power receiving station at Kremshore in the central Kashmir district of Budgam, resulting damage to the building and minor injuries to one employee.
