Yeddyurappa to take part Madikeri Dasara

Madikeri, Oct 8: Deputy Commissioner K R Niranjan on Wednesday, Oct 8 has said that chief minister's visit to Madikeri is officially confirmed and Yediyurappa will take part in the Dasara celebrations on Thursday, Oct 9. Niranjan has asked all the district officials to be present in station.

Meanwhile, Ayudha pooja was celebrated with colors and music. Shops and vehicles were decorated with lights and flowers. Decorations with visuals in shops and business establishments was found challenging for the judges to select the best. All over the towns, shops, hotels, workshops, banks and other buildings will be decorated and the Dasara committee will distribute prizes each year.

Light music and orchestra programmes were held at Gandhi Maidan at last night.

The government has released Rs Twenty lakh for the celebration of dasara and Rs one lakh each was distributed to ten mantaps.
