Voter list would be prepared for Council elections: CEO
Hyderbad, Oct 8 (UNI) Chief Electoral Officer I V Subba Rao today said the electoral rolls for the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council from the Graduates constituency and Teachers Constituency would be prepared in the state.
Addressing a press conference here he said the final publication of electoral rolls for the Graduates constituencies would be announced on November three and Teachers constituencies on December ten.
The draft publication of electoral rolls was announced on September 15 and from September 15 to September 30 was the period for filing of claims and objections, he said adding disposal of claims and objections would be taken up on October 15 for Graduates constituencies.
Public notice for registrations of electors regarding draft publication of electoral rolls for the Teachers constitutencies was given on October one, he said and added from October 1 to October 31 was period for filing claims and objections which would be disposed on December five and the final list would be announced on December ten.
The commission would prepare electoral rolls with a new method in which a voter need not enroll his name every year once his name appeared in the list prepared by the commission, he added.
