R P, Badri excluded from first test

Bangalore, Oct 8(UNI) R P Singh and S Badrinath will be in the sidelines from the Indian team in the first test of the four match series against Australia beginning here tomorrow. .

Announcing this at a press conference, Indian Captain Anil Kumble however said the decision of playing extra spinner or a batsman would be taken when the final eleven is announced before the match tomorrow.

"R P Singh and Badrinath have to sit out and the final eleven would be announced tomorrow before commencement of the match," he said.

About combination of the team, he said that it will be made known tomorrow whether we will have spinners or batsmen.

After excluding Singh and Badrinath following will be the 13 players left in the squad: Anil Kumble (Captain), M S Dhoni (WK), Rahul Dravid, Gautam Gambhir, Sourav Ganguly, Harbhajan Singh, Zaheer Khan, V V S Laxman, Amit Mishra, Munaf Patel, Virender Sehwag Ishant Sharma, Sachin Tendulkar.
