Premnarayan Thakur announces to quit Congress
Chhindwara, MP, Oct 8 (UNI) Tribal leader and former minister Premnarayan Thakur today announced that he is quitting the Congress party.
Talking to reporters here today, he criticised the party's regional organisation and said he will not return even if given ticket by the party.
He said he would send his resignation to the Congress soon.
Mr Thakur said he would not contest as an independent during upcoming Madhya Pradesh Assembly polls but he had not decided under which party he would contest. He would take a decision in this regard in the next few days after discussion.
The former Amarwada legislator said he had been ignored despite having served the Congress for three decades. He was not given place even in block-level committee of the party.
He said even former minister Dayal Singh Tumrachi, who had strengthened the Gondwana Ganatantra Party, had been accommodated in the party and was preparing to contest from Mandala.
