One killed, four injured as lorry rams auto

Mumbai, Oct 8 (UNI) A 27-year-old man was killed and four others injured after a lorry rammed into an autorickshaw and other vehicles at Kanjurmarg here yesterday.

Police here today said the driver of the lorry lost control and dashed on the autorickshaw, bike and motor car, killing one person on the spot and injuring four others.

The deceased was identified as Devang Prahlad Thakkar.

While all the injured were admitted to Rajawadi hosptial at Ghatkopar, an eastern suburb.

In the accident, four authorickshaws, two motor bikes and three motor cars were damaged, police added.

Police have registered accidental death report (ADR) and further investigations are on.
