Nepali Congress to launch national campaign
Kathmandu, Oct 8 : The Nepali Congress (NC) has decided to launch a nationwide campaign to reinvigorate the party.
The party will hold a mass meeting here on October 25 to kick off the campaign.
The mass meeting is being coordinated by Morang district Congress committee, according to its chief Amrit Aryal.
Aryal said that party president Girija Prasad Koirala will address the mass meeting - the first being organised by Nepali Congress after it became the main opposition party.
The party will also launch campaign for organisational strengthening in all 240 constituencies of the country, Aryal added.
Earlier, Koirala has claimed that he will bring the party back to its pre-election form within just three months.
Speaking to party workers here on Monday, Koirala said he was confident that the party would regain its lost strength within that time.
He said that he was not yet ready to transfer leadership to what is known within the Congress party as second generation, saying he would not retire unless the party regained its old form.
Koirala also asked the cadres to resolve internal differences and focus on rebuilding the party organization, Nepalnews reported.
