Navratra music contest opens opportunities for budding talent: Bhatt
Jammu, Oct 8 (UNI) Bollywood Producer-Director Mukesh Bhatt said that music contest being organised annually as part of 9-day long Navratra Festival at Katra opens opportunities for the budding talent besides gaining world-wide popularity.
''The idea behind organising such music competitions was to spot talent and to bring them in limelight, opening new opportunities for them,'' Mr Bhatt told newspersons during an interaction here yesterday.
Mr Bhatt accompanied by Ramesh Tourani, Director, Tips Industries, Ganesh Jain, Managing Director, Venus and film critic Vikas Mohan, had visited here to act as judges in the music competition of Navratra Festival being held at Katra, base-camp of holy Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir.
''There is no dearth of talent in the country but it required to be polished as there are unbound opportunities for capable artists,'' Mr Bhatt said adding that he always preferred to promote the talent.
However, the Director asserted that such a grand event, which is being organised during the Navratra Festival, has attracted worldwide attention and promoting traditional and folk culture besides giving new opportunities to the upcoming artists.
Meanwhile, the final round of the competition would be held today evening and the winner would also be suitably rewarded.
