Nationalists and disruptive forces treated alike by the Centre:VHP
Patna, Oct 8 (UNI) Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) today expressed serious concern against the yardstick of the Congress-led UPA government to assess the role of various organisations in the country.
Bihar unit president of the VHP Mahadev Prasad Jaiswal told reporters here, it was amazing to note that nationalist organisations and disruptive forces were being meted out same treatment during the regime of the UPA government at the Centre.
'' It is myopic vision of Manmohan Singh government to polarise the society on communal lines, just to appease the minorities for vote banks'', Mr Jaiswal maintained adding that some political parties were even demanding ban on outfits like VHP and Bajrang Dal, keeping an eye on electoral advantage during the coming Lok Sabha election.
Mr Jaiswal said it was unfortunate that some ruling parties at the Centre were keeping stoic silence on Indian Mujahideen and SIMI which were responsible for spate of serial blasts in different cities in the country while at the same time they were not hesitating to demand ban on VHP and Bajrang Dal.
The VHP leader also warned of united and sustained protest across the nation if the Centre dared to impose ban on VHP and Bajrang Dal.
