Muslims raise for cow protection in MP
Ujjain, MP, Oct 8 (UNI) A Muslim outfit, constituted to cultivate communal harmony in the country, is set to hand over a memorandum to President Pratibha Devisingh Patil in connection with 'Gauraksha' -- protection of cows.
''A signature campaign was held for 'Gauraksha' and the memorandum, consisting signatures of 5,000 Muslims, would be handed over in a programme to be held by 'Gaudhan Mahasangh' on November 7 in Delhi,'' Muslim Rashtriya Manch Convenor Tanveer Ahmad told UNI here today.
He said the Manch was formally constituted four years back under the supervision of Rashtriya Swayam Sewak executive member Indresh to blow the breeze of communal harmony and peace in the terrorism-struck country.
''The Manch organised various programmes in Uttar Pradesh, Guajarat, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh and other states with the active participation of Muslim clerics and other Ulemas,'' he added.
