Inter-City Exp coach derails

Chennai, Oct 8 (UNI) One coach of the Inter-City Express derailed near Villivakkam Railway station in the city, but passengers escaped unhurt.

Railway sources said the coach behind the engine derailed when the train, proceeding towards Chennai Central Station from Coimbatore, hit a buffalo, which was crossing the track.

However, none of the passengers were injured in the mishap.

Rail service was hit for a brief time following the derailment, the sources added.
