Four arrested for stealing idols
Hyderabad, Oct 8 (UNI) City police today apprehended four people while they were trying to dispose three stolen idols of Lord Rama, Sita and Laxmana at Chaman Secunderabad.
Police said Three stolen idols from their possession have been seized.
The accused were involved in a series of temple thefts, hundi thefts and snatchings in the limits of Krisna, West and East Godavari districts since April 2008. They committed as many as ten hundi thefts at temples in the limits of West Godavari, East Godavari, Krishna and Prakasam districts.
The arrested accused people, and seized idols were handed over to Ramgopalpet police station.
