Border-Gavaskar trophy unveiled

Bangalore, Oct 8 (UNI) Ricky Ponting and Anil Kumble, the Australia and Indian cricket captains respectively, unveiled the Border-Gavaskar Trophy here today.

The first match of the four test series between the two countries starts at M Chinnaswamy stadium from tomorrow.

Border-Gavaskar trophy is now considered as equal to Ashes, after the two countries have been involved in intense fight for supremacy in both the countries in the test arena.

The two captains also released a souvenir brought out by the BCCI highlighting the details of the eleven test tours that the Aussies have undertaken in India.
