45,344 old aged, widows,handicapped people to get pension in HP
Dharamsala, Oct 8 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh Government will give pension to as many as 45,344 old aged, widows and handicapped people under social security scheme during the current financial year, involving Rs 17 crore.
Disclosing this here today, Minister for Social Justice and empowerment Sarween Choudary said the BJP Government had implemented 70 per cent promises made in the election manifesto within nine months of assuming power.
She said the Government had enhanced social security pension from Rs 200 to Rs 300 and daily wages from Rs 75 to Rs 100 and thus helped eight lakh families of the state.
