22-yr-old missing youth found dead

Kolhapur, Oct 8 (UNI) Body of a 22-year-old youth, who went missing since September 24, was found from sewage water in Shirala tehsil here today.

Kiran, who hailed from Shindewadi village in Panhala tehsil of the district, was allegedly kidnapped by police inspector Sampat Patil, suspecting him of having illict relationship with his wife, as per Kiran's mother Vaijanti's complaint.

Sampat and his wife were arrested on October 4, following the complaint, police said.

Sampat was working at the police welfare department in Satara, police said.
