18 people killed in Nepal plane crash
Lukla (Kathmandu), Oct 8 : At least eighteen people have been killed after a small passenger plane crashed in Nepal's Everest region today.
According to official sources, a Yeti Airlines plane crashed while attempting to land at the Tenzing-Hillary airport in Lukla town.
Only the pilot, Suraj Kuwar survived the tragic accident. He has been flown to Kathmandu for medical treatment, sources said.
Among the dead are a co-pilot, one airhostess, fourteen German nationals and two Australians.
Bad weather conditions led to the mishap.
