Symantec launches new versions of Norton Antivirus,Internet Security

New Delhi, Oct 7 (UNI) Backup and security vendor Symantec Corporation today unveiled the latest versions of its security products-- Norton Internet Security 2009 and Norton Antivirus 2009 -- for the Indian market.

''The products are designed for high speed performance and enhanced security...these are ultra fast and have zero impact on system performance,'' company Vice President (Consumer Business, Asia pacific and Japan) David Freer told reporters here.

The security products will consume little processing power but still deliver the latest in antivirus and firewall protection, he added.

The suggested retail prices of Norton Antivirus 2009 and Norton Internet Security 2009 are Rs 1,645 and Rs 2,115, respectively, for one PC licence.

This also includes one-year subscription to use the product and receive Symantec's protection updates.
