Shramjivi blast: Terrorist produced in court
Jaunpur, Oct 7 (UNI) A terrorist was today produced in a local court in connection with the Patna-New Delhi Shramjivi Express bomb blast case.
The July 28, 2005 blast near Halpalganj-Singramau railway station in the district had killed at least 14 people and grievously wounded 90 others.
According to official sources, Alamgeer alias Mohd Roni, presently lodged in Tihar Jail, appeared before Additional District and Sessions Judge (III) Rajendra Chandra under tight security, where testimony of Dr R A Singh was recorded.
Besides, the court summoned another medico S P Singh and fixed October 21 as the next hearing date.
Till then, the Judicial custody of the accused has been extended.
Obaid-ur-Rehman, Hilal-ud-din and Nafikul -- were the other accused in the crime.
