Red Ribbon Express arrives at Rakjot
Rajkot, Oct 7 (UNI) City Mayor Sandhyaben Vyas today called upon people across the district to visit the AIDS awareness exhibition at the Red Ribbon Express Train, that arrived here today on a two-day halt.
Ms Vyas, speaking on the occasion, said people should avail of the opportunity to know more about HIV/AIDS and its prevention by visiting the awareness train in large numbers.
The Red Ribbon Express comprises of seven coaches, incorporating AIDs awareness exhibition and a counseling centre.
The 42-artists, who arrived with the Train, enacted street plays on HIV/AIDS and also conducted cultural programmes with the aim to create awareness among the masses about the disease.
The journey of the Red Ribbon Express, through 16 states, was inaugurated from New Delhi on December 1, 2007.
