Paswan to demand President's Rule in Orissa
Gwalior, Oct 7 (UNI) Union Minister and Lok Janshakti Party President Ram Vilas Paswan today said he would meet President Pratibha Patil soon and demand imposition of President's rule in Orissa.
Mr Paswan told reporters here that the situation in Orissa was not proper. The Centre was considering serving a notice to the Orissa Government under Article 355. However, imposition of the President's Rule under Article 356 was necessary under present circumstances.
Calling for a ban on the RSS, the VHP and the Bajrang Dal, he said secularism was soul of the country and should be protected.
Minorities reside in every part of the country and they would feel insecure if their life and property was not protected.
He said his party would field candidates from all 230 seats during upcoming state assembly polls.
Mr Paswan added that social engineering formula of BSP Supremo Mayawati might have succeeded in Uttar Pradesh but it would not work in Madhya Pradesh.
