M M Hills receives 10 cm rain
Bangalore, Oct 7 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the weather office here at 0830 hrs today.
Monsoon was Active over South Interior Karnataka and weak over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka. Rainfall occurred at many places over South Interior Karnataka; at a few places over North Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka.
Heavy rainfall amounts (cm): M.M.Hills 10, Doddaballapura 9, Nelamanagala, Holalur 8 each, Alur, Gundlupet 7 each.
Other Chief amounts of rainfall (cm): Subramanya, Mudigere 6 each, Yedwad Jayapura, K.E.R.Sagar, Mandya, Mulbagal 5 each, Basavakalyan, Kalgi, Holenarsipura, Malur, Kolar, Bangalore City, Anekal 4 each; Rabkavi, Gulbarga, Madikeri, Madapura, Nuggehalli, Mysore, Kollegal, Srinivasapura, Bangalore HAL Airport 3 each; B.Bagewadi, Shirahatti, Yelburga, Bidar, Humnabad, Jeewargi, Kushalnagar, Tyagarthi, Hallimysore, HunsurChintamani, Chikballapur, Gowribidanur, Thondebhavi, Bangarpet, Hoskote, Sira 2 each; Belawadi, Jamakhandi, Alland, Chincholi, Yelandur, K.R.Pet, Sidlaghatta, Gudibande, Devanahalli 1 each.
Temperatures: Maximum temperature appreciably rose at a few places over North Interior Karnataka; rose at many places over Coastal Karnataka and rose at a few places over South Interior Karnataka. They were appreciably above normal at most places over Coastal Karnataka; above normal at most places being appreciably so at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and above normal at a few places over North Interior Karnataka. Raichur recorded highest maximum temperature of 35.0 degree celsius over the State.
Minimum temperatures changed little and were normal over the State Chamarajanagar recorded lowest mininmum temperature of 17.8 degree celsius over the State.
Forecast valid until Thursday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at a few places over Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka.
