YSR agrees to consider demands of CMC
Hyderabad, Oct 06 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today agreed to consider the demands of Andhra Pradesh Chamber of Municipal Chairmen (CMC).
At a review meeting on the issues of Municipal Chairmen and Municipal Contractors at the Secretariat, he also agreed to consider some of the demands of the Municipal Contractors Association, an official release said here.
The Chief Minister agreed to amend the existing Municipal Law to extend the moratorium period to four years from the present three years for no confidence motion against the Chairperson and Vice Chairperson as per the request of the CMC.
He also agreed to consider payment of salaries to the Municipal staff through treasuries and ensured that the salaries would be paid by 1st of every month on the lines of Panchayat Raj employees, most probably from April 2009, the release added.
