Lawyers boycott work in UP city
Kanpur, Oct 6 (UNI) Advocates boycotted court work here today demanding immediate arrest of those involved in a robbery in a lawyer's house.
According to Bar Association sources, the advocates were demanding arrest of the culprits involved behind the loot at the house of former Bar Association president Surendra Bajpai in Indira Nagar locality.
Unidentified miscreants had raided the house of Mr Bajpai late last night, when he had gone out along with his son, reports said.
The miscreants had also thrashed Mr Bajpai's wife, a primary teacher, and decamped with cash and valuables.
Meanwhile, Kalyanpur police said two suspected persons have been taken into custody, while futher investigation was on.
