HP declares holiday for women on 'Karvachauth'

Shimla, Oct 6 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh Government has declared a gazetted holiday on October 17 on account of 'Karvachauth' for all the women employees working in government offices, boards, corporation and educational institutions in the state.

A spokesman of the state government said in a press release here today that this would be a holiday for women employees within the meaning of Section-25 of Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881.
