Alkali Metals enters capital market

Hyderabad, Oct 6 (UNI) Alkali Metals Limited, an ISO 14001:2004 and ISO 9001:2000 certified company, will enter the capital market tomorrow.

Addressing a press conference here today, Company Managing Director Y S R Venkata Rao said as part of its expansion plan, the Company would set up an Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) plant at Jawaharlal Nehru Pharma city at Parawada, near Visakhapatnam, with a capacity of 672 million tonnes per annum.

A price band of Rs 90 to Rs 105 was fixed for the public issue of 25,50,000 equity shares of Rs 10 each, which would close on October 10, he said.

The total income of the company was Rs 653.35 million and Profit After Tax (PAT) Rs 79.32 million during 2007-08 as against the total income of Rs 640 million and PAT of Rs 76.05 million during 2006-07, he added.
