Woman dies

Pudukkottai, Oct 5 (UNI) A 60-year-old woman was killed in an explosion at a stone quarry at Annavasal, near here, yesterday.

Police said the deceased, hailing from Punginipatti village, was identified as Ponnamal.

She was hit by a big boulder came out of an explosion, to blast a rock at the quarry.

She was succumbed to her head injuries on her way to the Government Headquarters hospital here, police said.
