Vilasrao Deshmukh in Nagpur tomorrow

Nagpur, Oct 5 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh will be on a brief visit to Nagpur from tomorrow.

Mr Deshmukh would arrive here by a special aircraft from Mumbai tomorrow morning, according to an official press release issued here.

He is scheduled to inaugurate the renovated office building of the city unit of the Congress, it said. Later in the day, Mr Deshmukh would attend a function to honour outstanding farmers from the state.

Maharashtra Governor S C Jamir and Ms Alemla Jamir are scheduled to give away the prizes.

Mr Deshmukh would be the chief guest at a convention of workers of the Congress, where political heavyweight Datta Meghe and his son Sagar would be felicitated for their entry into the party. The same evening, Mr Deshmukh would give away the prizes for the Nagpur Mayor's Cup Commonwealth Chess Championship, now in progress here, the press release said.

The Chief Minister would camp at ''Ramgiri'', his official residence here, for the night, the release added.
