Two killed and 20 injured in Kashmir accidents
Srinagar, Oct 5 (UNI) Two people, including a child, were killed and 20 others wounded in different road accidents while nine houses and other structures were gutted in the Kashmir valley overnight, official sources said today.
They said a motorcyclist hit and critically wounded one Abdul Sattar at Khumriyal in Kupwara district last night. He was shifted to hospital, where he died today.
A child, Shafiq Ahmad was injured seriously when a vehicle hit him at Baliharan on Srinagar-Baramulla road. He was admitted to hospital, where he died.
At least 17 passengers were injured, some of them critically, when a bus collided with a truck at Bijbehara in south Kashmir district of Anantnag.
Three people were injured when two vehicles coming from opposition direction collided at Bemina bypass last night.
The injured were shifted to nearby hospital.
A fire broke out in village Payerpora Hayhama in the frontier district of Kupwara in which four residential houses and three cow sheds were gutted completely.
The cause of the fire was not known, the sources said.
