Tremors experienced in Junagadh district
Junagadh, Oct 05 (UNI) A slight intensity earthquake, measuring 4.0 on the Richter scale, rocked Junagadh and its adjoining areas in Saurashtra region of Gujarat today.
According to the disaster management unit at the collectorate here, the epicentre was Chitroda village, around 50 Kms from here.
Walls of two houses in Amarapur town in Talala taluka collapsed during the tremors, experienced around 1704 hours this evening for two seconds.
People in multi-storeyed buildings rushed out of their homes in panic.
Meanwhile, rains accompanied by thunder and lightning, lashed Junagadh and its adjoining areas soon after the tremors were felt in the region.
