Tiger creates panic in Karnataka

Madikeri, Oct 5 (UNI) Much to the shock of the residents here, a cow was killed and another injured grievously by a tiger at Srimagangala in south Kodagu.

The cow was killed yesterday at its shed. The house wife, who came to draw the milk in the morning, noticed the incident.

Forest Officer Poovaiah said the forest officials were trying to spot the tiger in the nearby forest area.

However, he said the earlier permission from the authorities to capture the tiger was required.

''Now we have to seek permission again,'' he added.
