Thondebhavi records heavy rainfall of 9 cm
Bangalore, Oct 5 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the Weather Office here at 0830hrs today.
Monsoon was active over North Interior Karnataka.
Rainfall occurred at many places over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka and at a few places over South Interior Karnataka.
Thondebhavi recorded heavy rainfall of 9 cm.
Other Chief amounts of rainfall (cm): Chikkanahalli 6, Hubli 5, Ankola, Haveri, Sira 4 each, Koppal, Badami, Maski, Tyagarthi, Davanagere, Pavgada 3 each, Puttur, Yellapura, Haliyal, Sambre, Humchadakatte, Gowribidanur 2 each, Hirekerur, Shirahatti, Tavaregere, Hungund, Mudgal, Ajjampura, Shivani, M.Hills, Chitradurga 1 each.
Maximum temperature were rose at a few places over North Interior Karnataka however fell at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and changed little over Coastal Karnataka. They were above normal at most places being appreciably so at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and were normal over Interior Karnataka.
Raichur recorded highest maximum temperature of 33.0 deg Cel over the State.
Minimum temperatures changed little over the State. They were above normal at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and were normal Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka.
Chamarajanagar recorded lowest mininmum temperature of 19.2 deg Celsius over the State.
Forecast valid until Tuesday morning: Rain / thundershowers likely to occur at many places over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka and at a few places over North Interior Karnataka.
