Power sharing formula not useful for Dalits: Prabhakar Rao
Vijayawada, Oct 5 (UNI) Taking strong exception to the Communist Party of India (CPI) Andhra Pradesh secretary K Narayana's fifty-fifty power sharing and rotation of power between the alliance parties formula, Malamahanadu state President Jupudi Prabhakar Rao MLC, today said it would benefit only upper castes in capture of power in the state.
Addressing a press conference here Mr Rao, who is on his state-wide 'Dalit United Political Power Yatra' said the formula would adversly affect Dalits as it was against communist ideologies.
He alleged that the TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu was creating differences between the two groups of Mala and Madiga for political gain by supporting Madigas in the name of OBC and appealed to both the groups to join hands and work together by avoiding their long differences and strive hard to capture power from upper castes in the coming elections.
Mr Rao urged the state government to distribute three acre land to each SC, ST families, reservation for them in private sector and admission facilities in corporate colleges along with payment of fees.
