Police seizes 900 IMFL bottles, 1 held

Tiruchirapalli, Oct 5 (UNI) Police seized 900 Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) bottles smuggled from neighbouring Puducherry and arrested one person in this regard at Surakkudipatti village near here today.

Police said accused Mariyasusai used to smuggle IMFL bottles from Puducherry and dispose the same to the IMFL shops in and around Tiruchirapalli.

Later he was remanded to judicial custody The IMFL seizure was effected based on the information given by three persons, who were arrested in the same locality on October two.

400 IMFL bottles were seized from them, police added.
