Patiala, Oct 5 (UNI) On the opening day of the 22nd All India IPSC Hockey Championship (Under-19 boys) Punjab Public School(PPS), Nabha, pulled off a sensational victory against the formidable local Yadavindra Public School, scoring the winning goal in the last minute of the final whistle.

In the first half of the match, Imanveer Pannu (YPS) scored two goals, one of them through penalty corner, which panicked the Nabha boys. Yadavindra Public School (YPS) were leading by 2 goals when Mandeep Tiwana scored for Nabha off a penalty corner just before the end of the first half which lifted the morale of the team.

The second half belonged to PPS as they dominated the game and combined well which demoralized YPS which fielded a couple of injured players in the defence line. PPS' hard work in the offence paid at last when Jaskaran scored a beautiful field goal to level the score 2-2.

PPS then got a penalty corner in the dying moments of the match which could not be converted. When all seemed to be over, PPS scored through Gurkamal Singh, a minute before the final whistle to carve out an incredible victory.
