Madge drops Britney from 'Sticky and Sweet' tour over biblical bust-up

London, Oct 5 : Queen of pop Madonna has dumped pop princess Britney Spears from a forthcoming live spot on her Sticky and Sweet tour over religious matters.

Madge, 50, was so displeased with Spears for dropping the Kabbalah religion that she immediately terminated the latter's involvement with the tour.

"Madonna is dismayed that Britney has just dropped Kabbalah," News of the World quoted a source as saying.

"She's always believed it is a way of life, not just something to pick up and get rid of on a whim.

"Madonna doesn't feel she can work with Britney any more because they're just not aligned on a spiritual level," the source added.

Spears was due to join Madonna on stage for a live duet as part of the US leg of her tour.
