Centre sanctions Rs 40 crore for Pinjore gardens
Chandigarh, Oct 5 (UNI) Haryana Minister of State for Tourism, Mrs Kiran Choudhry said that the Central Government has sanctioned Rs 40 crore for restoration, conservation and upgradation of the historical buildings of the Yadavindra Gardens.
She said that Centre had accepted Pinjore as a developed town and as a part of the Panipat-Kurukshetra-Pinjore integrated tourist circuit an amount of Rs 16.30 crore had also been sanctioned.
Giving this information at Pinjore today, Mrs Choudhry said that Yadavindra Gardens at Pinjore are one of the oldest maintained Mughal Gardens in the Indian sub continent and Haryana Tourism Department had successfully made it the first heritage site of the State.
Pinjore would now be a buffer zone for the tourists.
