Blast kills constable
Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh, Oct 5 (UNI) A police constable was martyred in a naxal landmine blast targeting a patrol party today near Kuchwahi village seven km from Narayanpur district headquarters.
The deceased was identified as Constable Tiluram.
''The explosion was followed by crossfire but the rebels managed to flee,'' said Narayanpur's Superintendent of Police Ajay Yadav.
Patrolling was intensified in the area.
