4 killed, 20 injured in jeep-bus collission
Jind, Oct 5 (UNI) Four people were killed and 20 others injured in a head-on collision between a jeep and a school bus on the bridge over a canal near Narwana in the district today.
The deceased were identified as bus driver Ramesh, Satya Narayan, Beera and Rambir.
The injured, 18 of them seriously, were taken to the civil hospital at Narwana. The seriously wounded were later referred to the PGI at Rohtak. The injured included six women.
The jeep, carrying 24 pilgrims was returning from Bambori village in Hisar district to Balo village in Kaithal district.
There were only two people on board the bus which was going to Narwana. The accident occured when the jeep tried to overtake a truck and collided with the bus.
