Woman held, mine recovered near Indo-Pak border

Jammu, Oct 4 (UNI) The troops of the Border Security Force arrested a woman in the Samba Sector while a landmine was recovered in the Kathua district along the Indo-Pak International Border of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources here today said.

''A Bangladeshi woman was held near IB late last evening while she was found to be mentally retarded,'' sources told UNI.

Meanwhile a tragedy was averted in the Kathua district when a landmine was recovered near the border, sources said.

''On a tip off, security forces rushed to the fields in Bobiya village of the district and unearthed the mine. The mine was later defused thereby averting a major tragedy,'' they said.
