Woman and four others arrested for acid attack
Gulbarga, Oct 4(UNI) Policen arrested a woman and her four accomplices at Yadgir in connection with the acid attack on a woman anganwadi teacher on September 28.
Police said that the accused Hemavathi suspected that the victim Bannaramma(32) had illicit contact with her husband. She reportedly warned her to give up contacts with him.
Police said that Hemavathi hired four persons to throw acid on Bannaramma's face, who sustained 50 per cent burn injures. She is undergoing treatment.
Police said that the accused Revanna Siddhaih, Raju, Sashi and Viswanath and the main accused, Hemavathi would be produced to the court today.
