UP governor unveils 1st union law minister's idol

Kanpur, October 4 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Governor T V Rajeswar here today unveiled the statue of first union law minister late Kailash Nath Katju.

On the occasion, the Supreme Court Justice Markande Katju, Orissa court justice R C Chauhan, Allahabad High Court justice H L Gokhale, former union law minister Ram Jethmalani, Uttar Pradesh Advisory council president Satish Chandra Mishra and MP Rajeev Shukla and others paid tributes to Mr Katju.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Jethmalani expressed concern over religious exploitation by connecting it with terrorism. ''No religion promotes terrorism,'' he said, adding, religion should be kept out of the menace.
