Orthodox Church protests cupola desecration
Kottayam, Oct 4 (UNI) The Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church today expressed protest and concern at the desecration of a cupola at Illickal, near here, yesterday.
Church Catholicos-designate Paulose Mar Milithios urged the state government to take stern action against those responsible for the incident.
The portrait of St Gregorios kept at the cupola adjacent to the St Mary's Jacobite Church and the candle stand had been destroyed by unidentified people.
